Simon is a super host and made my stay so wonderful. The apartment is very beautiful and perfect in every way. Even the security and folks that manage the apartment are top notch.

The views are amazing from the property and the apartment is located on one of the best screeches of the Platinum Coast.

The people are so friendly. The security folks Joseph and Romeo as well along with Dena sends made our stay so memorable. I highly recommend this property for anyone looking to visit Barbados.

From the moment I first contacted Simon the owner I felt confident in both the booking process and quality of the property. Simon kindly offered flexibility as we were travel during the ever changing COVID pandemic. Fabulous location right on the beach with magic views of the Carribean sea. 3 great bedrooms each with their own bathroom offering space and privacy for a family. Comfy beds! Open plan lounge/kitchen with folding sliding doors opening onto the large furnished balcony. Fully equipped kitchen with everything you need. Dena the housekeeper was fantastic and kept the apartment clean and tidy, she’s a wonderful cook too and she kindly pre prepared some food for us during our quarantine period - macaroni pie, arrabiatta, bolognese, curry and jerk chicken were all amazing and value for money. Wi-Fi was excellent and as a bonus was available on the beach too. The apartment is very secure and the security team are all really wonderful and helpful. We loved our stay here and will definitely return, my only comment would be improved lighting in the bathrooms to aid makeup application and maybe a dedicated area to sit and dry your hair with access to a large mirror but these are common issues I experience all the time staying in hotels etc. 5 star apartment!

Loved our stay in this apartment, perfectly located on the beach with fabulous views and plenty of sun loungers. Albert kept the beach immaculate and was very helpful. Beach bar is a stones throw along the beach and we enjoyed walks round the cove past Sandy Lane. The apartment itself offers high quality accommodation, is extremely spacious and provided more than ample room for our party of six. Dena the housekeeper was fantastic, drove us to the supermarket, kept the place spotlessly clean and made us 3 delicious meals. The apartment is in a great location, 5 minute drive from Holetown and close to some excellent restaurants. We were sorry to leave and will definitely make a return visit at the first opportunity!

Great place to stay. Great location. We came to Barbados for 2 weeks ended up staying 2 months. Dena housekeeper amazing so kind and happy very hard working. Staff in Coral Cove first class nothing was to much trouble. We used the public transport very easy and safe. We used the local bar Mr Vic’s great character. Local roti, local pizza oven. For fine dining we loved the cliff on our door step. So much all so close. We definitely come back. Simon a great honest host. Thank you

We stayed one month in Simon’s apartment in Barbados and had a fantastic time. As a host, Simon was extremely professional, attentive and helpful all along, forthcoming with useful information and advice about the apartment and the island, guiding us through the complicated Barbados Covid-19 immigration protocols and regularly checking in on us throughout our stay. The apartment is perfectly located, right on Payne’s bay beach which is tucked away and feels incredibly serene and has beautiful sand and water. As part of the white glove service at the condominium, the beach is cleaned and combed every morning and sun beds and umbrellas impeccably placed and maintained. The stay included a cleaning lady (Mrs. Dena) which comes up to three times a week to clean the apartment and can also cook for you – Dena was a sweetheart and a great cook so highly recommend to have her cook for you. We will miss her. The apartment is spacious, functional, well-furnished and has an incredible outdoor space with gorgeous views of Payne’s beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinners on the terrace accompanied by moonlight, the harmonic sound of waves and the rhythmic and energetic crickets. The apartment is also a few minutes drive from the grocery stores and restaurants. One of our favorite restaurants (The Cliff) is just 5mins away and offers fine dining with great views and service. Overall a wonderful experience and looking forward to our next time in paradise.

Simon’s condo is very elegant and it has all the amenities you would need. The staff at Coral Cove were polite and friendly . I do live in Barbados but I often take “staycation” escapes to stay right by the sea. I have stayed and visited other seaside condos and hotels and I can safely state that this condo has the best seaside view on the west coast. The beach spot on Payne’s bay is divine . The third floor gives it a perfect angle of elevation from the beach - not too high or too low , making it amazing for sunset viewing . I will definitely go back ! Thanks Simon

We’ve been staying here religiously for years. Coral Cove #12 feels as if it is our home away from home. The condo feels as large as a home, with all the amenities one could want. A dining balcony over the Caribbean, with a view that goes on forever. Dena lovingly cares for the condo as if it were her own. The staff that over see’s the property are wonderful. December 2020 can’t come soon enough.

Incredibile setting. Positioned on the best part of the beach. Unit itself was well appointed, everything was considered from decor to linens to beach toys.

Dena was incredible and made us a fantastic “mama meal” Bajan style. Delicious! We will miss eating open air on the incredible balcony with breathtaking surroundings. Our time there will remain a beautiful memory. Until next time Coral Cove 12.

Our stay started with a genuine heartfelt Welcoming from the housekeeper/chef Mrs. Dena, she prepared a wonderful dinner and yummy breakfast & her smile was as beautiful as the beachfront view from the balcony, unit 12 was wonderfully equipped for our family of 5 with 3 lovely bedrooms & bathrooms.

The furnishings were quite lovely & appeasing to the eye, we felt very, very comfortable. The beach was absolutely incredible very calm and nice temperature we would stay in water for 3 to 4 hour at a time I would say I’m going down to the pool that’s how calm it was. We were attending a wedding and had an occasion where the bride & the groom were enjoying the beach and afterward we invited them to have a rum punch & a view of our balcony, when they first entered they were amazed with the furnishings and the expanse of the unit. The kitchen was fully equipped, the air conditioning kept us cool which you could immediately feel the difference when you stepped out of the unit, the TV & Wifi was good, we had one issue while we were staying there and Simon expressed a willingness to work out or issue we were very happy with our stay in Coral Cove 12. Would definitely stay there again. Thank you Simon it was lovely.

This was an absolutely amazing vacation. The property is located just steps from the beach. I could watch my daughters at the beach from the condo. I have 3 daughters and we had plenty of room in this condo. The grocery store is just up the road and is just like shopping at a grocery store in the U.S. As such, it’s very easy to just buy food and cook at the condo. No need to go out to eat for every meal which can save you a good amount of money. It’s very easy to get a taxi to wherever you want to go. Lots of restaurants to eat at within a 5 minute cab ride. I have been to Turks and Caicos and cancelled our trip there next year to return to Barbados and specifically this condo. Highly recommend eating at Nishi. The food was incredible. I can’t make a higher recommendation for this place. Absolutely awesome.

This property is basically as good as it gets. From the stunning backdrop, to the sunsets, to being able to swim out and get to a reef for snorkeling, to be able to swim with turtles, to the luxurious accommodations, this place is a winner. Simon is a gracious owner and the staff at the property will do everything to make it a memorable stay. The security guard called us one evening at around 9 to let us know that a turtle was out of the sea to lay eggs. We obviously very respectfully and from a safe distance and without lights or noise witnessed a truly incredible phenomenon of Mother Nature. We are surely going to return and encourage anyone reading this review to immediately book the place. You aren’t going to regret it. Thanks for an amazing time, Simon.

Excellent Property - Great Location
Coral Cove 12 is a very nice and well appointed Villa sitting right on beautiful Payne's Bay Beach. Marble, granite, A/C, hot tub, washer-dryer, big terrace, and a really fabulous view looking directly on to the white sand beach. Very private - the various patios in the Villa complex are staggered so no unit overhangs or looks directly onto another unit's patio. 3 big bedrooms, 3.5 baths, all upgraded. Kitchen is well equipped with oven, cook top, micro, and large fridge. Lots of windows can be opened to create a nice breezeway through the condo and the terrace doors open up completely extending the living area onto the large patio. Great for 3 couples or a family. Our party was just two people and for us, the Villa was massive but still very livable.

The security on the property is 24/7, there is access control (code) on all points of entry and exit, parking is tight but very doable if you rent a car and there is an assigned, covered parking spot. Common areas are very nice, there were plenty of dedicated lounge chairs with umbrellas every day and the local vendors were present but not that bad. There is a bar and grill just 100 yards away serving nice grilled fish, sandwiches, and beer/frozen drinks. Paynes Bay Beach is very nice and you won't be dissapointed. Holetown with major shopping, groceries, fine dining, etc. is only a 5-10 minute drive north. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at 12 Coral Cove. The views of the ocean and particularly the sunsets was spectacular. Our family of four was very comfortable here and had plenty of room to spread out and have our own space but also come together and enjoy time on the spacious balcony overlooking the beach.

We enjoyed snorkeling on the beach near the condo and saw many fish and even some sea turtles. We appreciated having the umbrellas and loungers and never had trouble finding a seat.

Dena was very kind and helpful and Romeo helped us with directions as it was our first time visiting the island.

Simon was very helpful and thorough with information and recommendations and very easy to work with.

We would definitely recommend this apartment and hope to come back!

Simon is an excellent owner and communicates well. This property is exactly as the pictures show and in some cases, is nicer than what is shown. Balconies are private and designed so that no neighbor has a view to the other. Also, it's well furnished, internet works great, TV has decent line up of channels, and every room has AC if you need it.

We liked leaving the main area open at night, no AC, and just enjoy the breeze provided by a myriad of windows you can open. The entire back of the property that faces the beach can be opened all the way across extending the living area into the very large patio. Hardly any issues with mosquitoes since you're up high and also a great view of the beach.

Paynes Bay is a great beach, the property has code access points all over to ensure security, and the security guard monitors ins/outs 24/7. Property is also covered by CCTV. We never had an issue getting lounge chairs and only light local vendor traffic, most of which I've seen each year we have been there. There is an elevator and it worked the entire time we were there. Since we were only a party of two, we didn't push the property to its limits like, say, a party of six might. However, I can't imagine 2 or 3 couples or a family would have any issues because the place is pretty large - with four toilets and 3 full bathrooms (master has large tub - others frameless showers. Lots of marble, lots of granite, it's a very nice property. Didn't really use the hot tub much but it's very large and was working fine when I checked it. One dedicated parking place - and the parking below is a little tight if you rent a car but I still found it manageable.

Beach is sandy with reef to snorkel and is calm. Good sea glass hunting if you're into it and we got a visit each day by manta rays and turtles who seem to make Paynes Bay a common stopover.

Good location next to Holetown with nice grocery store (Masseys) and fairly extensive line up of restaurants nearby. With the windows open, there is a bit of traffic noise but pretty much every property on the west coast is right on the major road so by the 3rd day, we barely noticed it.

I've stayed at Paynes Bay 3 times now and Coral Cove 12 is the best property we've stayed at thus far.

We recently had the pleasure of staying in 12 Coral Cove for 14 nights and can only echo the other 5 star reviews. The apartment is gorgeous, very well appointed & even more stunning in real life. The location on Payne’s Bay beach is absolutely perfect and made for some stunning sunsets.

The location is convenient and well served by public transport to Bridgetown, Holetown and Speightstown. There are a number of restaurants nearby- Roti Den & Pig on de Rock - all within walking distance of the apartment and worth a visit. Cariba restaurant is also nearby and Bajan Blue at Sandy Lane hotel is also just a short taxi ride away which we visited for Sunday brunch.

The holiday was perfect and made even more special by the wonderful people who look after Coral Cove. Although we did not meet the property manager during our stay that wasn’t an issue as the wonderful and brilliant housekeeper Dena was on hand to look after us and made sure we did not want for anything. We took the recommendation from previous reviewers to hire Dena to cook a meal and wow we were not disappointed! Dena prepared a local fish dish for lunch and I have to say it was the most tasty and best meal we enjoyed on the island during our entire stay. Romeo on the front desk security / concierge was absolutely brilliant. He really looked after my mother and I organising taxis, tours, recommending restaurants and even bringing some handpicked mangoes for us to take back to the UK!! Unfortunately I can’t recall the names of the rest of the team who look after the common areas in the building but they did a great job ensuring the interior and external garden / beach area were kept extremely clean and tidy.

The only additional thing that would have made our stay even more enjoyable would have been an aerial in the apartment to pick up the local radio stations and hear some soca music whilst relaxing on the balcony with a rum punch!

Overall a memorable stay and would definitely book again.

Coral Cove 12 is amazing. This is our second time staying here and we will definitely be back. Mr Simon is great to deal with and responds to your questions quickly. This condo is right on the bea h and a beautiful property. We felt like we were returning home and we had a very relaxing vacation. Dena is fantastic and will take care of you and all of your family needs. She was wonderful and we will really miss her.

The property is gorgeous and the pictures very accurate although it is much nicer. It’s a pleasure not to have to fight for lounge chairs. Romeo and the security staff are also so friendly and a wealth of information.

Very clean and feels like home for us with all the amenities that we needed. Beds very comfortable. Restaurant recommendations were great that Simin provided. We loved Cin Cin and The Tides. The Cliff also had great food. It is very expensive and we would highly recommend a visit at least once. We will definitely be returning to Coral Cove and looking forward to it.

Wow, what an absolutely incredible stay we had in your beautifully appointed condo! It was truly

our home-away-from-home, one we will soon not forget! I can still hear the sound of the gentle waves

lapping on the shore.........utterly mesmerizing.

Stunning condo #12 was tastefully decorated, perfectly equipped and we found the beds very comfortable. I must say though our most favourite space was the massive outside terrace.

We spent many hours on that terrace enjoying meals, family time and savouring each sunset.

Many thanks for the opportunity to rent your condo, we are most certainly considering coming back

It was nice to have a luxury break between the Test and the ODI tours. It was a great place to have 5 days of R&R. Waking up to the sounds of the waves, being looked after by the housekeeper, snoozing on the private beach and having enough local entertainment to ensure that we need not move from Payne’s Bay.

There’s a new bar called Pig on de Rock which only opened in mid jan which can show sports on request. So all good.

Look forward to returning.

This is our fourth stay at 12 Coral Cove, and we believe that the view and this beach must be one of the very best in Barbados. The sunsets never cease to be spellbinding as the sun dips below the horizon over the Caribbean. Gentle waves lapping the sandy beach - just outside your door! What more could you want?? The three bed/ three bath apartment itself is thoughtfully and tastefully decorated, and extremely well looked after by the wonderful, ever smiling Dena. We first met Dena nearly ten years ago, and she now welcomes us back like family. Romeo, in Security, has also been invaluable over the years, helping with practical aspects and advice on the island. Simon, the owner, is excellent at making recommendations on the island. We first visited Barbados when we had friends living and working there, so got to know it like a local. There is so much to see on such a small island, and it is often worth getting off the beaten track. Already planning our next visit!

My friend and I stayed for 12 nights in Nov 2018. The unit is absolutely lovely and very well kept. We were however very disappointed that the hot tub was not working during our entire stay. The management company dropped off a bottle of rum punch as compensation which, while a nice gesture, was really not adequate. That said, I would not hesitate to book this unit again in the future but will ensure that the hot tub is operating prior to doing so. Also, the description listed an espresso maker but none was to be found anywhere. A small thing but it would have been nice since we did expect to have one and even brought some espresso along beans with us.

Owner's Response:
Hi Barbara,

I am so sorry to hear that the hot tub wasn’t working for your stay. I have no idea why but my property manager in Barbados failed to inform me of the problem. The first i knew about it was upon reading your review. I am appalled with my property manager for not making me aware, as i would’ve liked the opportunity to speak with you, to at least apologise and offer something more consoling than a bottle of rum.

The control panel to the hot tub was replaced in September, when it developed a fault and our hot tub maintenance man suggested replacing the whole panel rather than repairing, which we did. Unfortunately, whilst inspecting the hot tub a few days before your arrival in November, during his weekly maintenance visit, he noticed the new control panel, had now also developed a fault and showed an error message. He told my property manager that he would return the part to the U.S express delivery and would expect the new part to arrive and be fitted, no later than a couple of days in to your stay. However, a comedy of errors, meant the hot tub part was addressed incorrectly and after several days at the barbados customs office, was returned to the shop, in the U.S, by the slowest method of postage known to man. It was then addressed correctly and re-dispatched.

At this stage i really am disappointed, that i wasn’t informed of the situation, as I would’ve liked to have had the opportunity to speak with you at the time and try to put things right. I will contact you again later today, now i am aware of the sequence of events.

With regard the espresso maker, we no longer leave it out for guests, as it’s a countertop machine with a milk steamer, which gets extremely hot in use and stays hot for some time after use. We thought it could be a potential hazard for a child. With all the families with young children staying at the apartment, we decided it would be prudent to remove the machine and lock it in our personal possessions cupboard. Sorry, I had overlooked removing it, from the itinerary of items in the apartment, which i have now done. If you had contacted me, I would’ve asked my property manager to take it out for your personal use. Apologies.

Im glad you enjoyed everything else about the holiday and my apartment and i would love the opportunity to welcome you back to my apartment in the future.

I will contact you again, directly later today.

Apologies once again.

Regards

Simon.

Our family of five, all grown up kids and vacationing from Canada, stayed at #12 Coral Cove at Paynes Bay, Barbados for 5 nights in June, 2018. The owner, Simon, was responsive to my emails and sent detailed info on everything I needed to know in advance of our trip, which was extremely helpful. Once we arrived, the condo turned out better than expected; beautifully decorated, impeccably clean, modern appliances, large bedrooms, large bathrooms for our grown kids was a huge plus, comfortable beds, A/C, and of course, the wonderful 3rd floor balcony tropical view of beach, and turquoise-coloured ocean (no weeds!).

We've vacationed as a family before; but this condo was by far the most comfortable we've had. It is everything as described and more. Lots of towels; pool toys, a few snorkeling masks, and well appointed. The building has 24 hr security, and the guards for morning, evening shifts are friendly and helpful. Like all Bajans we've met, they are warm, welcoming, and happy to share info on entertainment venues, directions, and other tips. The evening guard, James, even called us late one night (he knew we were up as we'd just returned from an evening out) to let us know that a large turtle had made her way onto the beach, dug a spot, and was laying her eggs among the beach chairs; we snuck around and got a few pictures without disturbing her (she was large, wider than a beach chair).

Paynes Bay Beach is one of the better beaches, located beside Sandy Lane Beach. The beaches are open and beachgoers can walk through, visiting hotel restaurants/bars. During our time there, the beach was not busy so it appeared tranquil, clean, and natural, without sharp stones or seaweed. Gentle waves, perfect for lazing around in the ocean. A few kilometers north is the Holetown Marina (Folkestone Marine Park) where glass-bottomed boat tours can be rented along with other water recreation vessels (the operator will come to your beach and pick you up if needed). It's always best to phone ahead first, however. On the waters of Paynes Bay and Sandy Lane, there's an artificial reef (sunken ship) where the bout tour operator can take you for snorkelling and swimming with turtles, then drop you back at your beach.

The housekeeper, Dena, is clean, cheerful, and warm-hearted; my wife felt as though she's known her all her life. She even washes the pillows (not just the cases).

Look forward to staying here again on our next trip to Barbados!

Coral Cove #12 is unquestionably as wonderful as the description, and the reviews by others. It is pristine both inside and out. The housekeeper, Dena is super efficient, helpful and was a total joy. Simon was extremely easy to work with, as well as very prompt with all correspondence; the booking process, all questions prior to arrival, during the stay, and follow up. There was an issue of construction next door, and Simon responded immediately to resolve our concerns to our satisfaction.

Everyone we had contact with at Coral Cove during our visit was super helpful and efficient.

We sent a grocery shopping list to Simon before our arrival, and everything was stocked, which made our midnight landing easier and less stressful. The on site 24 hour security not only had the keys on our arrival, they helped us up to the unit with our luggage. They also arranged taxis for us each time we needed one, at all hours.

The location was ideal for our needs, very central to the golf (Apes Hill, Sandy Lane, and Royal Westmoreland), the dining (The Tides, The Cliff, Daphnes, Cin Cin), and the spa at Sandy Lane. The property is comfortably and beautifully furnished, with private bathrooms and walk in closets in each spacious bedroom.

Nothing is better than being right on the beach and enjoying the sounds of the ocean - Coral Cove is literally right on Paynes Bay beach, with resort type lounge chairs in the sand, and no hassle of worrying about seat availability. We are very discerning and particular travelers, and usually hesitant to stay in a house/condo instead of a resort, given the high probability of disappointment. In this case, we were delighted that Coral Cove #12 exceeded our expectations. We emphatically and highly recommend this 3BR property for travelers of all types (friends, families, or 3 couples).

Coral Cove #12 has become our great escape over the last several years. Open, bright, airy, spacious, we have stayed here with as little as 2 of us and up to 5 of us with room to spare. Steps away from the cerulean blue Caribbean, chaises await you every day. Dena who takes exceptional care of CC #12 is a delight and the security staff headed up by Romeo are both a wonderful asset to staying here. We couldn't nor would we ever consider staying any where other than Coral Cove #12.

Sandy Hill beach just steps from back door and Paynes beach a short hike south-- both with wonderful snorkeling and other water sports activities. Bus stop out front takes you one way to Holetown, Speightstown or Bridgetown for $1US pp each way! Unit is clean and spacious. Have cook prepare a meal for the day you arrive. She is excellent cook--rate is reasonable and we ate leftovers for two days! Snorkle gear, floats, beach towels--all in unit.

Owner's Response:
Hi David, thanks for the review and glad you had a great time and you enjoyed your stay at my apartment.

Just for clarification, the beach which the apartment is on, is Paines Bay and Sandy Lane beach is the next bay along.

Many thanks and regards

Very well presented property right on Paynes Bay and ideal for those who want to be straight on the Beach, but then a couple of floors up and back to privacy. Spotlessly clean and very easy place to stay. All staff very helpful and certainly one that if we head back to Barbados would have no hesitation in looking up again. Simon was very helpful as is a great owner to work with.

Another great trip to Coral Cove. Simon's villa was spectacular. The accommodations were 5 star all the way. Our housekeeper was exactly what you are looking for in someone who can keep the place clean and stay out of our way. We barely noticed she was there. The unit was well decorated and equipped. Coral Cove is made safe and secure by their staff, which is led by Romeo. We will look forward to returning to this villa again in the near future. While there was a small misunderstanding with the arrival date, this error was quickly taken care of in a most judicious way.

As an added bonus on this trip we were blessed with a wonderful meal that was prepared by our housekeeper. Wow, what a meal. We were able to feast for a dinner, lunch, and another lunch with the same meal. We will be doing this again.

Overall, we are in love with the island, Coral Cove, and the people.

The apartment certainly lives up to the website photographs and description. On arrival we were greeted by the security guy who was very friendly and helpful. On reaching the apartment we were met by the wonderful Dena, who had prepared the apartment to perfection and on subsequent days she fitted around us to get her jobs done and minimise what we needed to do.

The location of the apartment is excellent for restaurants and supermarkets. A very short walk takes you down to the glorious Paynes beach. Every aspect of the apartment block is extremely clean and the garden and beach area are looked after very, very well. We loved it and hope to return.

We wouldn't go anywhere else
Our third trip to this apartment and the title should tell you everything you need to know. The apartment is situated on one of the best beaches on Barbados and close to many of the top restaurants and hotels. The photos really don't do this place justice, all fittings are of high quality and if you didn't want to go out you wouldnt be disappointed with the equipment provided. From the minute you arrive the guys on the gate led by Romeo are always keen to help and are there 24\7 which is a bonus. Dena the housekeeper is an absolute diamond and keeps the apartment immaculately clean and is always a joy to be around. Simon the owner is very easy to deal with and is a great source of information whether that be where to eat or how to book tickets for the cricket. We spent a long time picking this apartment in 2012 and have already planned our fourth visit next year...we just wouldn't go anywhere else.

We have visited Barbados many times over the recent years but this was our first stay at Paynes Bay. We found Paynes Beach the best beach for swimming and our children want to return next time. The condo was large giving us lots of space, the beds were comfortable and the kitchen was fully equipped. We enjoyed being up on the fourth floor which gave a wonderful breeze through the unit. Our return flights were cancelled shortly before our vacation but Simon was very accommodating and provided a refund for the last night of our stay since we had to change our flights to the previous day. We will definitely return.

DENA was completely amazing and cooked us the most incredible meal. Romeo was so accommodating and helpful. This vacation was nearly a perfect 8 nights. The activities that we did while there in Barbados were all excellent. We found the local culture perfect, even enjoying the Oisten's local fish fry. Thanks to Simon for all the help, patience while booking our vacation, and recommendations. We will be back for sure.

As a returning group we were interested to see what had changed....thankfully not a great deal as this is a superb apartment. The staff representing Simon are professional and very helpful and Dena the housekeeper was as cheery as we remembered her. I would highly recommend the apartment and the fact that we came back for a second visit should speak volumes. We didnt look anywhere else as we love Paynes Bay and the local area is great for bars and top end restraunts alike including, Daphnes, Sandy Lane Hotel, The Cliff and Cafe Carizma for something a little more reasonable. We didnt bother with a hire car as the buses and taxis were great for getting around ( ask security to phone Trevor if you want a great service). One thing we did plenty of on this trip was snorkeling and there was plenty to see just 10-30 metres off shore right outside the apartment so you dont even need to travel. We shall return.......

Dena the housekeeper is lovely and comes in on saturday, tuesday and Friday.

Paynes beach must be one of the loveliest beaches in Barbados. The security people including Romeo are friendly and on hand.

I prefer this to a hotel because of the space, privacy, and Dena .We ate out each night, favourites are Lone Star for lunch and dinner, Mullins for lunch, Cin Cin and Tides. We shall be back if we can !

This is a beautiful spacious modern comfortable apartment right on Paynes beach which has to be one of the nicest beaches on the west coast.

The beach does not shelve too deeply and there is a marked swimming area right in front of the apartment block. There is always something to watch as catamarans and the 'pirate ship' come into the bay to look for turtles. Beach vendors are friendly and will go away if you are not interested.I wake boarded and waterskied and we went up the west coast on the ski boat which was so interesting seeing other beaches and beautiful houses along the shoreline.

Simon the owner was so helpful with his information sheets and prompt response to any questions. We were greeted on arrival by Deborah the agent, who booked our dinner that night at Zaccios, and the lovely Dena the housekeeper who later in the week cooked delicious spiced fish and another lunch of curry.

To me this apartment was much better than a hotel because we had the space, comfort ,views, setting sun, and without the other guests. The bed and pillows were so comfortable (essential!). We felt safe. The security on the gate were friendly and helpful. The kitchen is really well kitted out and there is filtered water from the american fridge plus a bottle fridge. We had breakfast on the balcony each morning with the beautiful view of the sea.

We ate out each night at a different restaurant some walking distance away ,others a short taxi ride away. We really liked Tides, Cin Cin.We had a fun lunch at Mullins. Scarlett down the road is buzzy with good food.

We hired a car and joined a gym that Simon recommended for the week. Holetown which is less than 10mins away is definitely worth a visit and the Limegrove Mall is very pleasant as it has been beautifully designed and it was enjoyable just to sit and have a coffee. We will definitely be back!

There were five of us; grandparents, daughter, husband and their 18 year old son, from Manitoba and Saskatchewan Canada respectively. I had found this property on the internet, and my interest was captured by the description and photographs. It is just a fantastic place to stay, spend eight days basking in the warmth of the sun and lying around on the beach which is directly in front of the property. One never has to look for another beach. There was never a shortage of beach lounge chairs and umbrellas. We spent practically all our waking time when in the apartment on the balcony. Although we did watch one movie "Death at a Funeral" very funny, we'd recommend it.

Our daughter and husband walked to Holetown every day, and her husband and son being snomobile enthusiasts, rented jet skis for a one hour tour of the west side. About 300 or so yards off the beach is what appears to be the 'go-to' area for swimming with sea turtles.

Cheryl from property management met us upon our arrival along with houskeeper Dina (who also makes an excellent Rum Punch) and were always available to assist or answer any of our questions. Security Romeo and Trevor were also helpful with queries and calling taxis for us.

We ate all breakfasts/lunches and one dinner in the apartment, all other dinners were at restaurants. The Tides was the best. The Mews was good as well. Cin Cin was only ok as were were seated in an air-conditioned (must be the overflow room) room, which I found uncomfortable (although the others didn't seem to mind it) as I preferred to enjoy the ambience of the warmth and nearby ocean. Lonestar on the other hand had not great reviews, but we enjoyed it.

All in all, we had an excellent holiday, of which our accommodation was a major component. We would highly recommend this property, everything about it and the people associated to it exceeded our expectations. We hope to return someday.

Coral Cove #12 beauty exceeds the pictures on the website. The apartment is more of a home, beautifully appointed, large but warm, airy yet secluded. The property is immaculate and incredibly well cared for. Beach chairs and umbrellas await you in the morning without there ever being a shortage. We were greeted by Chery one of the property managers, Dena (who cares for the apartment as if it were her own) and Romeo from security.

Beachfront supreme...close enough to town by cab or bus...supermarket is nearby in Holetown. Daphne's restaurant is within walking distance for lunch or dinner. The Cliff restaurant and The Tides are a cab ride away and not to be missed.

We look forward to our return to Coral Cove #12. Simon is lovely to work with and made our family vacation effortless!

A fabulous apartment on the beach

The two weeks we have just spent in Barbados with our young daughter (nearly 2 years old) and friends was a delight from the moment we landed. We got great advice from Simon the owner who had made the rental an easy proposition to organise. The airport taxi was roomy, air conditioned and had a proper child seat. We were greeted by the staff on arrival at the apartment and they became an integral part of our stay, making the place feel like home and helping out whenever they could.

The apartment itself was lovely and spaceous with great facilities, fabulous view over the beach and a hot tub for when the beach was either too hot or suffering from one of the short tropical downpours. The bedrooms and bathrooms were all perfect and if something did go wrong there was soon a plumber on hand to fix it.

I cant praise the assistance of the staff enough for both their advice and work they did. On occasions it extended to helping baby turtles who were lost in the garden and ensuring their safe return to the sea.

Personally I love snorkelling and this provided a perfect base to launch our numerous turtle adventures from directly outside the beach gate. There are reefs to either side of the beach and a protected swim area right in front of the apartment - I used a dive buoy when going far off the beach as there are one or two jet skis available for hire if you want them.

Hole Town is the nearest urban centre and we found it very easy and entertaining to catch the local buses. They are not for the faint hearted but the people were very friendly and the ride is only 5-10 minutes.

All in all we loved the place and will be back again.

The other reviews of this property are very accurate, as is the listing information provided. This is truly a wonderful place to spend your holiday in Barbados. The apartment is very well appointed with everthing needed and more. The Owner was extremely helpful in answering any questions and providing suggestions while booking and both prior to and during our stay. The entire apartment staff including the manager, house keeper, and security staff, were all most pleasant and eager to make our stay enjoyable.

The entire apartment was wonderful, with the highlight being the open air covered balcony veranda overlooking the beach and ocean.

Our stay was for 10 days with our 2 teenaged daughters, and this apartment was the perfect choice. We chose to rent a car for the entire stay (arranged through the property manager). There is secure parking at the apartment. The location on Paynes Beach, just a few minutes drive south of Hole Town, is a great central location. Shopping for supplies in Hole Town was very convenient, and we explored numerous times to the north, west, and south.

The beach at the apartment is wonderful, and just a few steps from the apartment. Each morning the security staff set up umbrellas and lounge chairs for use throughout the day.

We had a fantastic stay, truly enjoyed the apartment, and would not hesitate to stay there again or recommend it to our friends.

From arrival to departure this was probably the best holiday we have had. I travelled with four others and we’ve been using private villas and apartments for over ten years and with careful choices have had some excellent holidays. Having said that we all agree that Simon’s property tops the lot.

The standard of the fixtures and fitting coupled with the location make this a perfect place to relax and enjoy what Barbados has to offer. We found the listing of the property to be accurate and if anything it doesn’t do the apartment justice as we wanted for nothing. Dena the maid was very helpful and always had a smile on her face and Cheryl was there to meet us and dealt with our early questions very efficiently and was a great source of information. Romeo who is listed as security is far more than that and is a great guy, nothing we asked of him was too much trouble and he was great to have around.

You may have gathered that we enjoyed our trip and a lot of that is down to the many questions we asked before we went, Simon was very accommodating and the information pack he sent before we left was a great help in deciding what to see and do whilst we were there. As a self confessed cricket anorak he was even able to provide us with the best place to sit to watch a game which is useful in 29 degrees of heat. The info on travelling around the island was also useful as we only needed a hire car for a couple of days as the buses and taxis were great.

We looked at plenty of property details before deciding on Coral Cove and took the time to look at a few of our favourites whilst we were on the Island and taking everything into consideration we all agreed that we made the correct choice, so much so we are planning to return in 2014.

The listing for this property is very accurate. This is a luxury apartment deserving of five stars. The apartment is very well maintained and very clean. All of the furnishings are of the highest quality. The beds are all very comfortable. The pillows, linens and towels are all provided and are high quality. There was also a large quanity of beach towels provided. The kitchen is a good size and well stocked. The living area is very spacious and has a good sound system and a nice tv. The covered patio is the best. It is wide open and overlooks the caribbean sea and beach. It's furnished with a dining table, patio chairs and hot tub. The patio is a great place to eat, read, nap or surf the internet. The housekeeper came a few times while we were there to do laudry and spruce the place up. If we needed anything all we had to do was call Cheryl the property manager and it was taken care of right away. Paynes Beach is beautiful. The water is crystal clear and there are lots of watersports available. If you are a good swimmer you can swim with the sea turtles about 100 yards off shore. Bring your goggles and fins if you have them. Coral Cove provides beach chairs which are set out each day. No need to get up early to reserve one because there are plenty. You pretty much have the whole beach to yourself. It does get crowded when cruise ships are in port which is only one day during the week. The Coral Cove complex is very well maintained. We saw people cleaning the common areas on a daily basis. The garden leading to the beach is kept very nice as well. You will feel very safe if you stay here. There is 24 hour security on hand to open and close the gate in order to enter the complex. You also need a security code to enter and exit the building and beach. We never had anyone enter the complex that wasn't suppose to be there. The beach is public so some locals will approach you with local goods. I recommend getting a rental car. It can be very expensive getting back and forth to the airport. The rental also comes in very handy if you want to go out to dinner, make a run to the grocery store or go sightseeing. It can be very expensive to eat in the better restaurants. I wouldn't recommend eating any beef on the island unless it is imported. The best part of our vacation was the accomadations at Coral Cove. This place is for relaxing. If you are looking for lots of action and something to keep kids occupied other than the beach you may want to stay in a hotel.

Words cannot express the beauty of this place. The apartment, the beach, the sunsets, the clear water, the turtles, the reef ~ I could go on & on. Our family of 5 (2 adults & 3 teens) stayed for 8 nights and it was perfect. By far, Paynes Bay is the best beach in all of Barbados. We took a sailing trip and saw other places, and we were so glad we chose Simon's apartment. The best part was opening the windows from the front to the back and enjoying the sea air - even in July it was so pleasant. The apartment is spacious and comfortable, and there are great movies! Chantelle, the housekeeper was very accommodating - she only came twice when we were there, so we didn't get to utilize her cooking services as others have. We highly recommend the fish market that serves food Thurs. - Sat. nights, just steps away from the apartment. We took the buses everywhere we went, and they was just fine. We always felt safe.

You will be very happy if you choose this apartment! I'm missing the place already.

We were on our Honeymoon and the accomodation was perfect. It is luxuriously furnished, very spacious and where we normally only use the apartment as a base, we found ourselves in the mornings enjoying Breakfast on the Balcony before a stroll down to the beach for a swim in the gloriously warm water, and in the evenings enjoying a glass of Champagne in the hot tub watching the sun go down. Although we never cooked, the facilities, Fridge, Microwave, dishwasher etc would also make this apartment ideal for a family wishing to reduce the food budjet.

My wife and i stayed here for our honeymoon in February for the last 2 of the days on our trip, and it was the best 2 days we had!

We had no clue what the beaches were like, but Paynes Bay ended up being our favorite beach on the whole island (we drove around the whole island one day and tried a bunch and came back really feeling so lucky that we were staying at Paynes Bay). It is a fairly calm beach, and not too crowded.

The Apartment was the nicest place i have rented on a trip by far. We enjoyed it so much more than the 5 star hotel we stayed at in Florida. This place is massive! 3 bedrooms - all king sized beds, it is very open , and the sea breeze comes through the house all day with a 20+ foot collapsing dividing wall that opens up the the balcony. The balcony was by far our favorite. We ate breakfast and dinner out on the deck each night, it was incredible! The hot tub on the deck was a huge plus. Very private, quite, you really felt like you were in Paradise.

The house comes with a housekeeper which was so nice to leave our dishes from breakfast in the sink and have everything cleaned and put away when we got back from the beach for lunch.

You feel so special when you are in this place.

They have plenty of DVDs there to choose from too.

I highly recommend staying there. The owner is great and was really easy to work with. We never had to think about a thing when we were staying there, i really liked that.

Where to start. My wife's family has a tradition of spending their Thanksgiving holiday at exotic locations all over the world, and as the new addition to the family, I had to plan this year's holiday. And after arriving in beautiful Barbados and arriving at the Coral Cove apartments, her family could not have been more pleased. The apartment was beautifully appointed, with modern appliances and all of the amenities that you could ask for. But what was even more amazing was the location. Overlooking one of the nicest beaches in Barbados, the apartment is within a short drive to restaurants, shops and other beaches. All of the best of Barbados is at your fingertips. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. It's also worth mentioning that the owner, Simon, was extremely helpful with answering questions and providing details on what to do and where to go on the island. His responses to my email inquiries were prompt and truly informative. We met many of the other vacationers staying in the other Coral Cove units, many of whom had been there on multiple occasions. After staying there for a week, I understand why there are so many repeat visitors.

PARADISE!

Our stay in this AMAZING apartment is Paynes Bay will never be forgotten. The accomodations are beautiful, and the location is great. We went in a group of six (3 couples) and there was more than enough room for all of us, and we all had our own rooms with our own bathrooms, it was excellent!! The beach is perfect, just a short swim out to the Sea turtles (which we did on a regualr basis), we bought our own mask and snorkels, and could swim and see the beautiful turtles any time we wanted. An experience of a lifetime. Be sure to eat at the local street vedndor, just down the street from the apartment, it is there on thursday, friday and saturday, very very good food, for a great price. As well, Mr. Vics is just a minute walk, good drinks (rum punch), as well as pub food. Happy hour is at 4, everything is half price.....and Vic is SUPER nice!!

The housekeeper was very good, and helpful, as well as Cheryl the property manager. Security for the apartment is VERY good, they know who is there at all times, you feel very safe in the complex! I never once felt threated or unsafe during my stay in barbados. All the locals on the beach are great, very friendly....and if you dont want to buy thier shells, or rent their jet ski, they dont pester you, infact they just try to be friends. We rented a jetski for only 15 minutes, it was SOOO FUN! We were able to go out as far as we wanted, and the island looks so beautiful from out at sea. Totally worth it!

Definately try the Fish Fry in Oistins on Friday nights.....so neat.Good food, lot's of dancing, and a local market. Really neat experience.

The evenings were great, having the jacuzzi on the balcony was very nice way to end the day.

The apartment and the service we recieved from the point of trying to plan this trip to the minute we left was above our expectations. We were never once disapointed.

We had an amazing stay here, infact I was very very sad the day we had to leave (not going to lie, I had tears!!). We would all go back to this amazing holiday rental in a heartbeat, we loved every minute of our stay!! We only stayed from wednesday to wednesday, and we definately would have liked a few more days, it was just so beautiful there! We cant wait to plan our next visit to Barbados!! Hope you all enjoy your stay there as much as we did!!

We were six italian adults and it was the first time we rent a house for our holidays . My friends congratulated with me for the choice saying it could not be better!! We were astonished because it was really luxury but very confortable at the same time and we could enjoy every moment from the breakfast on the balcony to the private jacuzzi in the evening. For us Italians it also very important the beach and the sea and having it just across the garden was the best of all. the beach was extremely well kept and deck chairs were always available for you. When lunch was ready our housekeeper waved us from the balcony and we went to eat. I wonder what else can you ask from a holiday. Being on the west coast we enjoyed wonderful sunsets :plenty of photos of them! Very good restaurants in the nearby but my advice is to rent a car for the shopping at the supermarket and to enjoy the rest of the isle. Also homemade lunch or dinner prepared from the housekeeper were excellent. Try them!! Last but not least ,Simon the owner , has always been very helpful with us a really very kind person always ready to give us information and to solve our doubts. Thank you Simon for everything! I will tell everyone about our fantastic vacation. Donata and your italian friends

Paradise on the beach
5/5 Stayed May 2010
A very luxurious apartment on the 3rd floor. The decor is modern, clean marble. The master bedroom has a very comfortable 4 poster. A walk in closet and large en-suite with shower, corner bath, WC and two sinks. The shower is raised 3" and whilst lovely, the glass door is not water tight so mopping up the leakage is required. Minor gripe. Everything else is perfect. Master bedroom has its own access to the balcony.

The back room is also en-suite with a slightly larger shower and no bath. The middle room is a very comfortable size. Is not en-suite but has a shower & toilet room right next door. A laundry room opposite.

The lounge is comfortable. A selection of DVD's are availble and very enjoyable to relax with. TV channels are wierd. Mp3 players/phones can be hooked up to the Bose system which sounds great.

The kitchen is large with double door fridge freezer. Loving the ice and cool water at the press of a button. We cooked in the kitchen 3 nights, not a fan of electric hobs, but the facilities are great. There is even a wine fridge. Or rum fridge for us :-)

The balcony is the best feature. Jacuzzi (back left seat can be intense). We spent ours just enjoying the view and the sunsets.

The beach is through a small garden. Doors have a 4 digit code to get through so it feels secure. The beach is lovely with shades and loungers to use. Lots of catamarans arrive on sunny days, people swim with the turtles that are about 100 yards off the beach. Snorkel is a must to swim around the coral. Lots of little fish about. It's not Disney Nemo land, but plenty to see right by the beach. The turtles are also cute.

There is a petrol station about 100 yards down the road (south). It sells some essentials if you need them. Daphne's, Scarlet are in walking distance that way. Holetown took us 20 minutes walking. It is hot and partial footpath. There are a few shopping areas, no big mall. There is a supermarket there, and they were building a cinema. The tiny main streets have a handful of restaurants and bars.

Finally taxis are more expensive on the West Coast, if you don't mind them, the buses are very good. On the beach 4 or 5 chaps will offer foot massages, aloe vera for sunburn, and a go on their jetskis. If you are rude or ignore them they will be rude to you. A simple "hello", "no thanks" and they will be friendly, bid you a good day and not ask again. The people here are lovely. Stunning place.

Fantastic holiday in a fantastic place
5/5 Stayed Mar 2009
We escaped the miserable wet cold English winter and landed in this beautiful luxurious place. Right on the beach, great for our 2-year old, friendly security at the building (the whole island was friendly!), wonderful maid who did some cooking for us and some baby-sitting. A short walk up the lovely sandly beach was Daphne's where we almost lived. Hot tub on the terrace for the evenings was great fun. Great location, we loved it.

Best holiday location yet
5/5 Stayed Apr 2010
We have just spent a fabulous two weeks in this luxurious, spacious apartment overlooking the Caribbean. This apartment has everything you could possible want. It is beautifully furnished to a very high standard with three large individually designed bedrooms. Although we ate out nearly every night, there is a large modern kitchen should you wish to cook, with every appliance you could possibly need.

A spacious lounge and very large balcony with hot tub make this very special indeed.

There are several supermarkets conveniently located, the nearest being just 5 minutes away. Look for the local foods, which can in fact be very reasonable, rather than those imported which can be quite a bit more expensive.

With so many first class restaurants to choose from we chose to eat out most nights - a very high standard in the top restaurants which had extensive menus.

Our favourite restaurants were The Cliff, Tides, The Fish Pot and Daphne's. Oistins fish market on a Friday night is an experience not to be missed - very inexpensive.

We also enjoyed a tour of the Mount Gay rum factory - we would recommend the tour which included lunch (a fairly substantial buffet and of course plenty of rum).

We also visited Bathsheba on the other side of the island which was very beautiful and ate at the Atlantis for Sunday lunch, would recommend this.

If you like a traditional afternoon tea visit Chatters Tea Rooms, about 20 minutes away. Very good value for money and a little bit different.

The most amaxing part of the holiday was the location - just walk out of the apartment on to the beach, where your own private sun loungers are waiting - no need to get up at 6.a.m. to reserve chairs here! Straight into the sea which is beautifully clean and lovely and warm, or swim or take a boat out a short distance to see the turtles. Snorkling is a must as many beautiful fish. Early evening in the hot tub overlooking the sea with a glass or wine or a rum and coke - fantastic.

This apartment is to be highly recommended as a number one holiday location, we will certainly be returning.

Fantastic - everything thought of!
5/5 Stayed Apr 2010
Simon's apartment is on the wonderful Paynes Bay beach - possibly even better than Sandy Lane's beach!

The apartment is beautifully and sympathetically furnished, making us feel at home straight away. With two grown up daughters, we all had plenty of space to relax and recharge.

There are numerous restaurants in Holetown - Spago and Angry Annie's were great. Tides is our favourite restaurant and made a great birthday venue for my husband - their thoughtful attention was much appreciated. We had dinner at The Lone Star on our last evening in Barbados, and like Tides, it was bordering on perfection.

Apes Hill hosted an international Polo match which was nothing like the events back in the UK - shorts and shirts, and as relaxed as everything else in the Caribbean.

No visit would be complete without a trip out on a catamaran. Sailing out of Bridgetown with a rum punch and snorkel - what more could you ask for??

This was our third visit to the island, and we would certainly return to this apartment (assuming it was available after such a rave review!), and would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending it.

Thank you Simon - even the volcanic ash cloud couldn't overshadow a wonderful holiday!

A fabulous trip you will never forget
5/5 Stayed Apr 2009
Wow! A stunning apartment, beautifully designed to a very high standard. We spent two fabulous weeks here on honeymoon in April 2009.

The apartment had all the facilities we needed, a modern kitchen, very stylish bedrooms and bathrooms and even a wide range of DVDs if you want to stay in for the night! The apartment was spotlessly clean and very well maintained.

The best feature was the fabulous hot tub on the balcony overlooking the sea. We drank rum and cokes watching the sunset each night! (very romantic). The beach with private sun loungers is just outside your door. When swimming just a few metres out, we were joined by a beautiful Hawksbill turtle who swam very close to us (two days running).

There are some fabulous places to eat nearby - we tried loads of different restaurants. The Cliff was an exceptional experience - ask for a waterside table (the concierge can book a table for you). It's also less than ten minutes walk along the beach to Sandy Lane for Sunday Brunch. We hired a car and it was so easy to get around.

There's lots of sightseeing to be done - we enjoyed Oistins Fish Fry on a Friday night, Harrison's cave and the tour of the Rum Factory (with cocktail making at the end!). Crane Beach was very beautiful, as was Bathsheba on the other side of the island. We enjoyed the Roundhouse there for lunch overlooking the sea (good for surfing on that side of the island).

The trip on the Atlantis submarine is a must if you're not claustrophobic - a once in a lifetime experience that was great fun and we saw lots of wildlife.

There's plenty for children to do as well - as well as all the beautiful beaches, there's horseriding or hundreds of giant tortoises at the Barbados Wildlife Reserve.

There are plenty of supermarkets around, the nearest is 5 mins down the road in Holetown. We also shopped for some local Earthworks pottery to bring home as there is some in the aparment which we really liked.

People were very friendly on the island - the housekeeper and security staff at the apartment were particularly helpful. When booking we were given very detailed, useful information about our stay.

We will definitely be making a return trip here. In fact, we enjoyed staying in the apartment so much that we recommended it to our parents and they have booked for two weeks this April.

If you spend your holiday at the Coral Cove apartments, you won't be disappointed. A fabulous holiday destination!

Everything it promised to be with wonderful facilities and just a few yards from a fantastic beach. Everything is very modern and well maintained and with a stunning view from the balcony, there is no need to leave the apartment. Although, with a number of great resteraunts close by, that would be a shame......

10 days was not enough.
